Tech Companies to Prioritize  Security and Combat Bias

Even since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022 November, there have been questions going around about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and what it could mean for the future of the human world.

The chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee in a call to action,  requested all the CEOs of various major tech companies to prioritize security measures, combat address bias concerts and ensure responsible deployment of new technology.

Concerns regarding the potential risks posed by AI technology by Mark  Warner,  the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee and a Democrat.  Emphasizing beyond industry commitment, there is a need for a level of rules and regulations in this field, he said.

 Warner sent letters regarding the same to all the CEOs of several major

 AI companies, companies including Open AI, Alphabet’s Google,  Microsoft, Apple, Meta Platform, Scale AI, Anthropic, Stability AI,  Midjourney, and Percipient.ai.

 With the increasing use of AI in large numbers across the (US) economy and the possibility for large language models to be stable in integrated into a range of existing systems, from healthcare to finance sectors, I  see an urgent need to underscore the importance of putting security at the forefront of your work, stated Warner.

 A few weeks back only, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stressed the widespread use of ChatGPT in programs and initiated an effort to establish rules around AI and addressed the concerns related to national security and the education system.

 Schumer revealed he had circulated a draft for a framework that outlines a new regulatory regime, protects against damage to the country,  ensures progress, and takes the lead in transformative technology.

 with the rise of ChatGPT, AI  has gained significant attention for its ability to generate answers quickly. With over 100 million active users monthly,  ChatGPT has become the fastest-growing application in history.

The company OpenAI, which developed ChatGPT, has received significant investments from Microsoft, AI space, along with Google.  Heavy investments have been made in AI to stay ahead by many leading tech companies.
